ABOUT THE TEACHER

Becky Pfarrer, a certified member of the Cecchetti Council of America (CCA) and a member of Maryland Council for Dance, has been teaching in Chestertown since 1990. She receives her training at National Ballet and has attended international seminars to study under top faculty. She has been guest faculty at National Ballet’s Summer Dance Camp and at the Cecchetti ECC conferences. Miss Becky is currently Vice President of the Friends of the National Ballet and has served at Chairman of the ECC of the CCA. She has a B.A. degree from Stetson University as a French major and received the Certificat d’études françaises from the University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland. She performs in the annual production of National Ballet’s The Nutcracker and is a soloist with Lyman Ukrainian Dance Ensemble based in Baltimore.
